Hands down, Deb Myers is a people person. Her passion for building meaningful relationships, activating team involvement and creating excitement fuels her design career. Her expertise spans boutique design studios and international firms, bringing a sophisticated and innovative approach to urban, underutilized sites that require thoughtful and thorough solutions. She welcomes responsibility. Not only for the design direction and management of project initiatives, but with a specific lens on transforming and enlivening New England neighborhoods. Community service and professional advocacy have always been at the core of her work and personal life. It’s what gives her work meaning, sparks joy in her life, and drives her hands-on approach. Overlooked and chronically underserved neighborhoods benefit from Deb’s drive to create positive and lasting change. Her wish? To accelerate the creation of extraordinary outdoor environments that are livable, accessible and equitable.

A favorite pastime?

Fly fishing. Both meditative and exhilarating that’s where I’ll be—on the Swift River. It’s the most popular style of fishing, and the most ancient. Bring your rod.

Expanding the notion of the urban landscape—this is what Yuhan advocates for. She believes that people must feel connected to the landscape for it to be successful, and that its design can play a critical role in urban sustainability. Understanding the unique historical, cultural, and natural system of each place is a must. What does she love? Plants, greenery, woods, gardens, grass and increasing people’s sensibility to the natural elements that surround them, especially within the urban realm. A graduate of Cornell University, Yuhan prioritizes bringing a cultural overlay to the landscapes she develops—with shape, form, color—resulting in an intended function to beautify the urban environment.

Site-specific interventions and technical know-how that is informed by the ecology of people and place. His honest commitment to applying design logic based on utility, and employing sound construction technologies to complex programs, sets him apart. Tim believes in the potential for landscape architecture to bring communities alive through attention to detail, an emphasis on public engagement, and creating meaningful connections between the built and natural environment.

Favorite travel destination?

Singapore is in the lead, but I never tire of a fresh Parisian croissant, or schnitzel in hand with a beer in a German biergarten.
